🎨 We are honored to share this year’s Priceless Art installations 🎨
We invited artists to make our new venue special…and they did not disappoint! The forest will be full of light, coziness, and plenty of opportunities to play and reflect.
There will be spaces to slow down, canvases for you to become the artist, delectable food, and at least one log in the redwoods teaching about the dangers of fording rivers and carrying too much meat.
We may be in a vast forest, but you’ll find your people in multiple cozy gathering spaces. Search for the Midnight Oasis to share tea and music by lantern-light, or settle into the Smoke & Mirrors Hookah Lounge and make a new friend. Find the Redwood Lounge, where black-lit rope art hangs between the trees and the ground holds you. Take a seat at the Hot Tubes tables and warm up on a chilly evening. And settle into Midnight Teahouse for a cozy cup of warmth late at night!
Other pieces need you to make them come alive! Get moving on the Bass Dance Floor and feel music from your feet to your head all night long. Or lay on the Bass Bed and look up to The Canopy of moving patterns and lights. At Wave Conductor, raise your arms like a conductor and pull video and sound out of the air — or see physical sound waves travel through water at Wave Garden. Ask the Eye of Ananke your deepest questions.
Use the Talk to God Phone to get some answers at last, or have a custom poem written and danced out with Mirth Beyond Measure. Hug friends from a different perspective at Hug-o-Scope. Play the touchpads of Space Palette Pro, dance yourself into the Fractal Vortex projection wall, or step inside Synchronicity of the Heart and sync three buttons to its beat. Interact with Held and remember that we can’t do it alone. Lay back inside Siren’s Cove — a tent of voices, headphones, and womb-like sound — and add your own. And scale the heights of Pipedream!
Take time to reflect and contemplate. Visit the Temple of Broken Dreams in a fairy ring of redwoods to leave something tender behind. Wander into A Room Outside of Time and let cassette loops drift down from the branches while you turn the knobs of your own memory. Pause at ..we are constellations.. and sink into quiet beauty. Settle into The Organ of No Body and contemplate life, death, and community.
The forest will be glowing with magic and light. Gaze into The Enchanter, a seven-chamber infinity mirror lined with moss and wild bones. The Octometrist is a glowing octopus carved into wood. Biolumia scatters glowing plants, jellyfish, and butterflies through the trees. Subsurface is an exercise in thoughts and light you can tune by hand. Chase giant shimmering bubbles through the trees with the Wishing Well. Stare into mesmerizing patterns of joy at Four Square. And Sean Stevens’ art legacy is strong with Tree of Light, Magic Flowers, and Feedbax – brought by dear friends.
There’s a whole strip of shtick and play. Visit Quank’s Gaming Emporium for games that fool with time and space. Ring the doorbells at Bird Burbs and meet the residents. Stop by Side Questz and get a small mission (they’re good for you!). Stop by Hot Topic to make a bad decision with your mouth, or come back later to host or sit in on a self-directed AMA. Drop a note into Pigeonholes and trust a system that may or may not deliver. Stumble onto The Trail: Untethered — and see if you can make it without getting dysentery. Step up to The GosSip for tea and tiny snacks.
Come hungry. Stop by the Night and Day Market for sushi, okonomiyaki, ube waffles, and a chance at a grand prize. Catch a screening at Mutant Bear Village Cinema and say hello to the furry audience. Watch Ice Art melt under the lights and contemplate our changing planet. Change the channel and gather around Futurecast, and think about our past and what we can achieve in the future.
These pieces were made by many hands and many hearts. You’re invited to move through them however feels right. So grab a friend. Or a stranger. Or your inner child. Slow down. Play. Be surprised. Find a new rhythm, or just a place to land for a while.
