Noon – 6 pm
Joaquin Miller Park, Oakland
In the Meadow, by the “Pinewood Picnic Site”.
Who’s Playing
Spring Training is more than just a dance party… it’s a community celebration of sunshine and laughter and the seasons. But it’s still a dance party, and we’re delighted to bring six of our friends back to the DJ table. This year’s Spring Training beats brought to you by:
Parking (one lot is off limits!)

There are three parking lots right off Sanborn Drive, as well as some roadside parking.
This year we’ve been asked not to park in the first one of these lots — the small Community Center lot — because of another event happening there concurrently. (Same deal as last year.)
If the two remaining lots and roads inside the park itself are full and you need to park on the street, please stick to Joaquin Miller Road. Do not park at all on the three narrow streets directly across Joaquin Miller Road: Robinson Drive, Butters Drive, and Crane Way are all off limits. Wherever you park, please be very careful and respectful of park neighbors. Do not block driveways, not even a little bit.
LNT
This will be a Leave-No-Trace event (of course). Help us keep our good relationship with the Parks and Rec Department and pack out ALL of your trash and any other trash you see.
What to bring and not to bring
- NO: guns, weaponry, fireworks, ball pits, inflatable bouncy things, toxic anything from goo to vibes, negative attitudes towards other humans of any kind, getting overly intoxicated, being mean
- YES: food, hard/soft drinks, sunscreen, little ones, blankets, lawn games, the peace of mind that comes with seeing a negative covid test that morning, dancing shoes, a consent-framework attitude towards others’ decisions around hugs and masks and personal space and whatever they need to feel safe and have a good time
